Exercise make us happier

And it also:

  • reduces stress

  • boosts your immune system

  • increases confidence

  • gives you energy

  • makes you stronger

Most of all, exercise makes us feel good and increases our happiness. In fact, the latest research shows exercise is the best anti-depressant there is.

It’s important to make exercise part of your daily routine

Schedule your exercise. Reserve a time slot and treat it as you would an important meeting. If you have not exercised in a while, clear it first with your doctor. Try to exercise every day and build the minutes up gradually. Starting out with 25 minutes every day is much better than 3 hours on a Saturday morning. Building up gradually decreases the likelihood that you will get injured. Exercising on a daily basis will also help you make it into a habit. And before you know it, you will be exercising for an hour, 6 or 7 days a week.

Your exercise should not feel like an uphill battle

If you are struggling with your exercise, you might be doing to do too much too soon. It could also be because you are not getting enough sleep or the right nutrition. Remember, all aspects of lifestyle are linked, so your other lifestyle choices can help you succeed with your exercise routine.
